Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker to join our small team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality custom cabinetry, joinery and furniture pieces, transforming raw materials into finished products with precision and craftsmanship. You will contribute to delivering exceptional results that meet client specifications and project deadlines. This position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of materials and tools, bringing creative visions to life through expert joinery and fabrication techniques.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish cabinetry and furniture components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
- Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently to produce precise cuts and joints
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products to facilitate smooth workflow
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, team members and clients to ensure specifications are met or exceeded
- Conduct quality inspections through out the making process and on completed work to ensure durability, finish quality, and adherence to high standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 Years proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery within a workshop environment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
- Strong knowledge of joinery techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Understanding of finishing, traditional and modern
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and safety standards
