Overview
Venn Group require a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a project in North Lanarkshire
Duties
- Prepare, negotiate and analyse costs for budgets.
- Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems.
- Procurement of Sub-Contractors and preparation of Sub-Contractor order documentation.
- Assess and certify sub-contractor interim payments
- Provide assistance on a range of legal and contractual issues and identification and management of commercial risks.
- Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on projects.
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships.
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and self.
- Assist in managing the Commercial team and supervise and mentor Quantity Surveyors.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Demonstrable management experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable contractual terms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with specialised software such as Microsoft Project.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Knowledge of construction processes, legal frameworks, and contractual procedures.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for site visits and meetings across various locations.
