We have an exciting opportunity for a new team member at our unique doggy day care and home boarding facility.
We are a family run outdoor doggy day care facility offering 2 hour, 4 hour or full day play sessions for our dogs, 7 days a week, 363 days a year! (We are only closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day!) We also offer home boarding services to our regular day care clients.
This makes for a busy, but fun and friendly work environment and we are searching for a like-minded person to join the team.
Day to day you will be engaging and controlling the dogs, playing with them, creating games and enrichment for them, keeping them active and happy, but also allowing them downtime, catering for each individual’s needs.
We have dogs of all shapes and sizes, from the smallest Yorkie to the biggest Newfoundland, a love of all dog types and breeds is a must, a passion for the work we do is essential, basically if you are dog crazy you will fit right in.
A huge part of the job is maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the day care and home boarding facilities. There are daily, weekly and monthly tasks to be completed in line with company policy and licensing regulations. It is important any applicant understands the importance of the cleaning and maintenance, and this is just as important as playing with the dogs to keep them safe and happy and deliver the highest standard of care.
We are an outdoor facility and work outside in all weathers, come rain or shine those dogs need to be cared for and entertained, even on the coldest day, any candidate should be prepared for this.
We are looking for an active, responsible, friendly person with good communication skills. You will need to interact with our clients, as well as, work well with our well established team. A good knowledge of canine behaviour would be preferable, but not essential, passion and enthusiasm for all aspects of the role is what we really need.
The current position is minimum 5 hours a week with opportunity for overtime and holiday cover. Flexibility is essential as weekends and holidays are a requirement.
A full manual driving license is preferable, and would potentially lead to more hours.
