We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Nurse to join our dynamic multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and proficiency in IT/Dentally Software systems to ensure the smooth operation of our dental services.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
- Provide exceptional patient care by reassuring patients, answering their queries, and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental practice management software.
- Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
- Excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Highly organised with the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
- Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Fluency in English is essential for clear communication with patients and colleagues.
- Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience as a Dental Nurse
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both with patients and colleagues
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
