Young People’s Supported Housing Worker

Full-time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday
SCP 21 - 25, equivalent to £27,261.80 – £30,308.43

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Supported Housing Worker to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children service and play a vital role in empowering young people to build independence, confidence, and stability.
This is a meaningful opportunity to support young people at a pivotal stage in their lives — helping them navigate new systems, develop life skills, and move forward with confidence.

You’ll take a holistic, person-centred approach, acting as a trusted mentor, advocate, and guide. Your role will include:

Develop positive, consistent relationships with young people

Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive living environment

Act as a key worker, coordinating services and support networks

Deliver tailored support plans to help young people achieve their goals

Support life skills development including budgeting, tenancy responsibilities, and daily living

Guide young people into education, employment, and training opportunities

Help young people access health, welfare, housing, and legal services
-
Accompany them to appointments, hearings, and important meetings

Advocate on their behalf with external agencies

Support young people to sustain accommodation and meet tenancy conditions

Monitor wellbeing, safety, and property standards

Assist with move-on accommodation and transitions to independence

Maintain accurate records, support plans, and risk assessments

Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately

Work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment

Desirable:

NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care
