A.C Shropshire is currently looking for a FEMAS Hygiene Operative to join our Workshop team. We are a leading animal feed manufacturer committed to quality, traceability, and the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Our operations are certified under the Feed Materials Assurance Scheme (FEMAS), ensuring all products meet strict legal guidelines.
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves, get stuck in, and take pride in keeping things clean and running smoothly. You will be detail-oriented, safety conscious, and ready to be a team player in maintaining high hygiene standards
FEMAS Hygiene Operative Responsibilities:
· Carry out daily scheduled deep cleaning of our feed containers, hook trailers and the general yard areas.
· Follow documented cleaning procedures to ensure FEMAS compliance and our internal hygiene standards.
· Maintain accurate records of cleaning, including areas cleaned and materials used.
· Conduct pre and post cleaning inspections and report any non-conformances or maintenance issues.
· Ensure all cleaning chemicals are handled, stored, and used safely, with accurate labelling.
· Assist with maintenance tasks as required.
· Occasional supplier visits to assist engineers.
· Support pest control and cross-contamination prevention protocols.
· Wearing full PPE.
· Working to our Health and Safety requirements.
Hours of work: 45 hours per week.Monday – Friday 7.30am to 5pm Some occasional weekend work required.
