The Role
As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you are the heartbeat of our guest experience. Whether you are pouring a perfect craft gin in Babar, serving a sizzling steak in The Herd, or hosting a beautiful summer wedding out in our Garden Pavilion, your mission is to bring your authentic personality and excellent service to the floor every single day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Magic: Greet our guests with genuine warmth and guide them through their dining journey with us, ensuring a seamless, fun, and memorable visit.
- Know Your Stuff: Become an expert on our menus. You'll confidently talk about our 30-day dry-aged steaks, explain our elegant afternoon tea timers, and recommend perfect pairings from our massive gin and wine lists.
- Theatrical Service: Assist with our signature dining experiences, supporting the kitchen team during live-fire cooking presentations at The Herd.
- Keep it Slick: Take orders accurately, run food and drinks efficiently, and process payments using our POS system.
- Event Excellence: Support our active calendar of weddings, garden events and comedy nights by setting up spaces and managing high-volume service with a smile.
- Maintain Our Standards: Keep all dining sections, bars, and outdoor garden areas clean, safe, and looking immaculate according to food hygiene guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
- Personality Plus: An enthusiastic, friendly, and outgoing person who loves interacting with people (and dogs!).
- Team Players: Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and naturally jumps in to help colleagues when the floor gets busy.
- Eye for Detail: You notice the little things—whether it's a slightly askew wine glass or a guest who needs a drink top-up.
- Experience: Previous hospitality, bar, or waiting experience is a plus, but a great attitude and a willingness to learn are what matter most to us.
- Flexibility: Able to work a flexible rota that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
