Requirements for Lead Practitioner:
- At level Level 3 full & relevant early years qualification
- At least 3 years expereince working as practitioner in an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Safeguarding
Responsibilities for Lead Practitioner:
- - Support day-to-day running of your area as part of the Management Team, role-modelling excellent practice and delegating tasks
- - Mentor new starters and contribute to staff observations to develop high-quality practice
- - Be a Key Person, planning and delivering EYFS-based learning tailored to each child’s needs and interests
- - Monitor, assess and record children’s development using IConnect, and build strong relationships with parents/carers
- - Ensure children’s safety, supervision and wellbeing, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- - Work in partnership with professionals such as SENCO, Speech Therapists and Family Support to support children’s progress
- - Promote equality, diversity and inclusive practice, challenging any behaviour that does not support this
- - Maintain a clean, safe and engaging indoor and outdoor environment in line with Health & Safety policies
- - Support effective communication with staff and families through meetings, events and handling concerns professionally
- - Act as an advocate for the nursery, supporting business sustainability and delivering excellent customer service
