At Seven Districts Coffee, we are proud to be Lincoln born-and-bred. We craft and roast high-quality, ethically sourced specialty coffee inspired by the ancient history and folklore of Lincolnshire’s seven districts bringing "A Well Roasted Fable" to life in every cup.
As we open our brand-new shop in the heart of Lincoln city centre, we are looking for passionate, energetic Baristas to join our founding team. You'll help us build a welcoming community hub known for craft coffee, great food, and authentic local hospitality.
The Role
As a Barista at Seven Districts, you’ll be the face of our new location. You won't just be making drinks you’ll be sharing the stories behind our roasts, crafting exceptional coffee, and delivering memorable experiences for regulars, tourists, and four-legged visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft & Quality: Dial in espresso, steam milk to perfection, and serve a range of specialty drinks, pour-overs, and tasting trays using our hand-roasted beans.
- Hospitality First: Welcome every guest with warmth, offer knowledgeable drink and food recommendations, and share the unique folklore behind our roasts.
- Bar Operations: Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and organization across the bar, prep, and seating areas.
- Food & Retail: Assist with light food prep (paninis, cakes, gluten-free and vegan items) and help customers select retail coffee bags and merchandise.
- Teamwork & Efficiency: Work collaboratively during busy rushes, process till/POS transactions quickly, and complete opening/closing checklists accurately.
What We’re Looking For
Specialty Coffee Passion - A genuine love for great coffee and a desire to continuously learn and perfect your craft.
Experience - Previous barista or fast-paced café experience is preferred (specialty coffee background is a big plus).
People Skills - Enthusiastic, approachable, and capable of building great rapport with customers.
Attention to Detail - Pride in drink presentation, consistency, latte art, and bar cleanliness.
Adaptability - Calm under pressure with a proactive, "can-do" attitude during peak city centre hours.
