Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse Supervisor/Forklift Driver to support our warehouse manager and daily operations with energy and precision. In this role, you will oversee daily logistics activities, liaise with warehouse staff, and ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials. Your expertise will drive process improvements, optimise inventory management, and uphold safety standards. Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes
- Picking orders ready to be loaded into vehicles
- Assisting with pre-building of furniture items making sure all items are QC's before leaving the premises
- Operate forklifts safely to move heavy loads and organise inventory within the warehouse
- Oversee inventory accuracy using in house procedures
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflows
- Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce safety protocols, and provide training on heavy lifting and equipment use
Qualifications / Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse working and logistics operations
- Strong materials handling skills with mechanical knowledge of forklifts and related equipment would be helpful.
- Reach FLT license.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory control
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques to optimise warehouse workflows
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record is essential as the role does involve occasional moving of vehicles and possibly small deliveries to installers
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and site conditions
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse work
