Dellner Glass Solutions are seeking a Glass Operative to join our team. The role is to predominately work in the Laminating Room, but you will be expected and encouraged to become multiskilled and undertake a variety of tasks within the plant, including but not limited to:
- Cutting glass using a semi-automatic cutting table
- Operating glass washing machinery, feeding glass in and out
- Sealing double glazed units using hand tools
- Filling spacer bars
- Applying edge tape to the perimeter of sealed units
- Laminating glass
- Reading and following technical drawings and SOPs
- Using OHC and FLT equipment (training provided where required)
- Adhering to all QHSE policies and company procedures
- Supporting wider business needs and undertaking additional tasks as requested by management, where appropriate training is provided
Desirable experience includes:
- Previous experience within the glass industry
- Experience using hand tools and semi-automatic machinery
- OHC and/or FLT certificates
Details
- Shift work: Dayshift Monday to Wednesday 07.00 - 19.00 and Thursday 07.00 -15.00. (44 hours) and Nightshift 19.00 - 07.00 Monday to Wednesday (36 hours), rotating weekly.
- Starting salary £12.71 plus 8% shift allowance, increasing to £13.44 once trained and opportunities for further training and pay increases linked to a skills matrix.
