Parklands Hospital offers diverse inpatient environments:
Hazel Ward (PICU): A 10 bed, locked, high risk setting with a higher staff to patient ratio - delivering intensive care to males aged 18 and over.
Juniper Ward: An 18-bed male ward, including specialist support for Armed Forces patients.
Cherry Ward: An 18-bed female ward providing acute mental health care.

Full training will be provided during working hours, including PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression), Basic Life Support and Patient Handling. There are excellent development opportunities, including progression to nursing apprenticeships.
The ward operates a range of working patterns to support a 24hour service. Shifts include Earlies (7:00am-3:00pm), Lates (1:30pm-9:30pm) and Nights (9:00pm-7:30am). There are also opportunities to work compressed hours through long day shifts which can be discussed at interview. Night shifts are worked on a rotational basis, and weekend and bank holiday working is a requirement of the role.
