We are a 4 star, 23-bedroom boutique hotel set in the beautiful surroundings of Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire with an award-winning restaurant, now has this great opportunity for a Housekeeper Assistant.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Housekeeping experience is preferable, although this is not essential as training will be provided
- Genuine, friendly, sincere, professional personality
- The ability to work under pressure, as a team and independently
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- Working hours are flexible and based on the demand of the hotel
- Flexibility over weekdays, weekends and bank holidays are essential
- Rate of pay is above National Living and Minimum Wage. This is dependent on age.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and tidying guest rooms, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensuring all surfaces are disinfected and restocked with necessary supplies
- Empty trash containers and replace liners
- Perform general cleaning tasks in common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and lounges
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry rooms and storage areas and to manage the stock
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to established health and safety guidelines
- Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the kitchen and wash-up areas clean and tidy
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Assisting the kitchen team with basic tasks when required
- Emptying bins and keeping work areas organised
- Following food safety and health & safety procedures
- Must be reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team
