Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help bring complex projects to life, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties/Skills
- Fabricate parts and assemblies from detailed fabrication drawings, working closely with our in house Design team.
- MIG/TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel fabrications, MIG Coded in house in accordance with British Standards.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively to cut, shape, and assemble fabrications and assemblies.
- Conduct inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations.
- Fettle parts to a standard ready for coatings/finishes.
- Assist in the assembly of finished products by aligning components precisely and securing them properly.
- Unloading/loading of materials, Fork Lift Truck and Overhead Crane training provided.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Occasional site work.
- Full clean driving licence
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG/TIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and metal fabrication equipment.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments during fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of assembly procedures and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
