The Role –New Business
This is a high-impact, front-end sales role focused purely on developing new business opportunities across the UK. You will be responsible for identifying prospects, generating meetings, developing solutions alongside technical teams, and driving projects through to commercial close.
- Proactively target and win new clients within industrial, manufacturing, utilities, municipal and infrastructure sectors.
- Build a strong pipeline through cold outreach, networking, referrals and strategic prospecting.
- Engage with senior decision-makers including Operations Directors, Engineering Managers, Energy Managers and Procurement teams.
- Qualify technical and commercial requirements before working with internal engineering teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through proposal, negotiation and contract award.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.
- Represent the business at trade events, exhibitions and industry networking functions.
- Collaborate with internal technical, project and aftersales teams to ensure smooth handover and client satisfaction.
Experience & Profile Required
The company is open on sector background - they are looking for driven, commercially astute sales professionals with the hunger and resilience required to build territory revenue from the ground up.
- Proven track record in a new business / hunter sales role.
- Background in engineering, manufacturing, technical products or capital equipment would be advantageous (but not essential).
- Comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders and discussing engineered solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build value-based propositions.
- Resilient, self-motivated and able to manage a large geographical territory.
- Professional, credible and confident communicator.
- Full UK driving licence.
