Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate Fire Door Remedial Work activities on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and projects are completed on time and within scope. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the on-going project to deliver approximately 600 fire door remedials with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety.
The contract is likely to take about 4-6 weeks to complete with scope for being continued over to other projects upon completion.
Duties
- Supervise daily Fire Door Remedial operations, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules
- Manage and coordinate with the client, site personnel and report to headoffice to optimise productivity
- Monitor progress and quality of work, conducting regular inspections and ensure snags are completed before signoff and handover
- Enforce health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel
- Prepare reports on project status, issues, and risks for stakeholders
- Resolve on-site issues promptly to minimise delays and maintain workflow continuity
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies throughout the construction process
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising construction sites with a strong understanding of building processes
- Demonstrable management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Previous supervising experience in large-scale construction projects is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
- Relevant health and safety certifications are preferred but not mandatory
