Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced individuals to join our team in schools. As an After-School Cookery Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives by equipping them with essential life skills. This is a rewarding position for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy working with children.
Duties:
- Communicate effectively with our Little Chefs to understand their learning needs and goals
- Inspire and engage with our children
- Collaborate with parents, carers and teachers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning
Requirements:
-Enhanced DBS or willing to acquire one & registered with annual update service
-Willing to meet training standards in Safeguarding, First Aid, Food Hygiene Level 2 & Food Allergy Awareness
- Previous experience in tutoring / teaching or managing groups of primary aged children
- Strong communication skills to demonstrate cookery techniques effectively
- Ability to connect with children on an individual level and create a supportive learning environment
- The ability to positively manage the behaviour of a large group of young children
- Passion for education, a keen interest in cooking and baking and a genuine desire to inspire young children
-Must have a driver's license and use of a car. Involves travelling to different schools on allocated club days with equipment and ingredients.
