Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant and Bar Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant Longniddry Inn hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service standards, supervising staff, and maintaining food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant and bar staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and customer flow during peak hours.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas.
- Assist in training new team members in service procedures, food safety, and hospitality standards.
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies; place orders as necessary.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and fostering a positive team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with a strong background in bar and restaurant
- Supervising experience with team management skills to motivate and lead staff effectively.
- Extensive restaurant experience complemented by culinary or kitchen expertise.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
- Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and guest relations.
