Peter Best Trade Limited is looking for a reliable and practical person to join our growing commercial vehicle business specialising in vans and light commercial vehicles.
This is a hands-on role working with commercial vans on our yard. The main duties will include washing, valeting and preparing vehicles for sale, moving vehicles around the yard, carrying out basic repairs and maintenance, and keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised.
Main duties include:
- Collecting and delivering vehicles when required
- Washing and preparing vans for sale
- Assisting with vehicle movements around the yard
- Carrying out basic vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Replacing simple parts and assisting with mechanical tasks
- Helping keep the yard organised and tidy
- Assisting with loading/unloading parts and materials
- Taking photos/videos of vehicles for advertisements when required
We are looking for someone who:
- Valid driving licence is required; experience driving commercial or large vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Has a basic understanding of vehicles and vans
- Is practical, reliable and comfortable working with tools
- Can work independently and use initiative
- Has previous garage/mechanical experience (preferred but not essential)
- Enjoys working with vehicles rather than sitting in an office
Experience with Mercedes Sprinter vans or commercial vehicles would be an advantage.

Pay: £25,420.00-£48,223.77 per year
