Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Drumming Teacher to inspire and educate students of all ages and skill levels for a Saturday morning. The successful candidate will possess a strong musical background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching rhythm and percussion. This role offers an opportunity to foster musical growth in a supportive environment while sharing your love of drumming with others. You may start with a couple of students and build to a full timetable.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging drumming lessons tailored to individual student needs and skill levels
- Prepare lesson plans that incorporate technical skills, musicality, and creativity
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Foster a positive learning environment that motivates students to develop their musical talent.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and set up appropriately for each lesson
Requirements
- Proven experience as a drummer with a strong understanding of various musical styles and techniques
- Prior teaching experience or formal music education is preferred but not essential; relevant training will be considered
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students of diverse backgrounds
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively and manage time efficiently
- Passionate about music education and committed to fostering a positive learning environment
- Ability to work a Saturday morning from 9am-1pm
- A recognised qualification in music or drumming is advantageous but not mandatory
- You MUST possess a current, enhanced DBS and registered for the update service.
Pay: £22.00 per hour
