Based in Ardleigh near Colchester, Essex, Priory Elm Park is a specialist brain injury service. We provide neurobehavioural rehabilitation for people with complex neurological needs, following an acquired brain injury (ABI) or traumatic brain injury (TBI). This includes assessment as well as treatment.
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our management team at Elm Park as Deputy Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated RMN or RGN who has previously worked as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or in a similar leadership role within a care home or healthcare setting. You will play a pivotal role in:
- Contributing to, or being responsible for, elements of the assessment, planning and implementation of support for people who use the service (or potential new admissions),
including meeting general care needs, maximizing independence and community participation as appropriate, in conjunction with the service user and their advocates.
- Contributing to the proper maintenance of all reports and records in order to ensure compliance with good practice guidelines and legislative, statutory and organisational requirements, including but not limited to health and safety, personnel data, care plans, staff supervisions.
- Contributing to the implementation, embedding and sustaining of governance processes.
- Promotes a Positive safeguarding and learning culture, where there is openness, honesty and transparency.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration.
- Have a minimum of 2–4 years' post-registration experience, with demonstrable clinical expertise.
- Have a sound understanding of current legislation, regulatory frameworks and best practice, including CQC standards and safeguarding requirements.
- Be able to demonstrate experience of maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards through inspections, audits and monitoring visits.
- Have proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop teams while promoting a positive working culture.
- Be confident in taking responsibility for the service in the Registered Manager's absence.
- Possess excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Have an understanding of budget management and resource planning (desirable).
- Appreciate the importance of marketing and community engagement and be able to support initiatives that enhance the home's reputation and occupancy.
