We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages curiosity and independence among children
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs and development plans
- Lead small groups of children during activities, demonstrating strong management and organisational skills
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and well-organised in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery’s curriculum and policies
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee children's activities effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning while maintaining a safe environment
- Childcare qualifications or relevant nursery experience are highly desirable
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation or home visits
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and development
