SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible on a temporary basis.
This role involves providing support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
The Role:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Assisting children with their learning and engagement throughout the school day
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Working collaboratively with class teachers and SEN staff to deliver targeted support
- Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school setting is essential
- Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
