Based at our Thurmaston workshop, this varied role is key to supporting our in-house lighting and wider manufacturing production, ensuring materials and components are available to meet demand and maintain the highest standards of quality and delivery.
Using our stock control and Excel-based Kanban systems to manage inventory, raise purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and ensure production runs efficiently. The role requires strong organisational skills, a hands-on attitude, and a willingness to get involved across the workshop and office.

Purpose of the Position:
The Manufacturing Stock Controller role will require a great deal of flexibility and a combination of workshop and office-based tasks at our Leicester site and throughout the UK as required. The purpose of the role will be to ensure a continuous supply of raw materials and components to meet the demand of our inhouse lighting workshop, using a combination of a stock control system and an Excel based Kanban system to maintain adequate stock on site for orders to be fulfilled, and report on stock outages. The role will also include all purchasing for made to order and stock items for all the Soane inhouse workshops, as well as final invoicing.
The position will be integral to the smooth running of these orders by adequate stock levels of bulk purchased items and maintaining accurate order records made to order items.
The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the Manufacturing team to deliver outstanding designs to agreed QC specifications, on time and on budget.
