emp All Staffing is recruiting an experienced Senior Social Worker for a key contract position. This role focuses on statutory social work services targeting protection, prevention, and safeguarding. You will manage a complex, high-risk caseload in a multi-agency setting while mentoring junior practitioners.
Accountabilities
- Risk Assessments: Evaluate complex needs and persistent risk to inform evidence-based decisions.
- Statutory Decisions: Make risk-informed decisions aligned with legislation and statutory guidance.
- Safeguarding Enquiries: Lead statutory safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act duties.
- Multi-Agency Leadership: Head multi-agency risk management meetings with partner policies.
- Care Planning: Create and review strengths-based plans to deliver positive outcomes.
- Risk Mitigation: Monitor, address, and escalate risks to minimise situational dangers.
- Inclusive Practice: Uphold anti-discriminatory practices to remove barriers to public services.
- Relationship Building: Develop person-centred relationships with service users, carers, and advocates.
- Caseload Management: Oversee a varied caseload with diverse, cumulative requirements.
- Partnership Working: Collaborate across organisational boundaries for cohesive service user support.
- Auditable Records: Maintain accurate, complex case files matching statutory requirements.
- Staff Mentorship: Guide junior colleagues, care co-ordinators, students, and ASYE practitioners.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
- Qualifications: Social Work degree or post-graduate equivalent (CSS, CQSW, Dip SW).
- Registration: Active registration with Social Work England.
- Case Experience: Substantial experience handling complex statutory caseloads and assessments.
- Framework Knowledge: Deep understanding of statutory guidance, legislation, and SWE ethics.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate complexity and work autonomously under pressure.
- Communication: Clear, empathetic, and persuasive communication style to aid decision-making.
- Specialisms: Additional specialist qualifications (e.g., Best Interest Assessor, Practice Educator) preferred.
