Job description
Are you the kind of person who loves meeting new people, builds relationships naturally and always follows through on what you say you'll do?
We're looking for a warm, confident and proactive person to join Sean's Place and help us look after the incredible community of people and businesses who support our work.
You don't need to be an experienced fundraiser.
You might currently work in events, hospitality, account management, business development, community engagement, customer relations or another people-focused role. What matters most to us is that you're brilliant with people, organised, full of initiative and genuinely excited about building relationships that make a difference.
This is a brand-new role, so you'll have the opportunity to make it your own. You'll work closely with our CEO but will also have the freedom to develop relationships, bring ideas to the table and help shape how Sean's Place works with our supporters and partners as we continue to grow.
Job Purpose
The Partnerships & Community Fundraising Coordinator will play an important role in supporting the long-term growth and sustainability of Sean's Place by developing and nurturing meaningful relationships with our community fundraisers, supporters, corporate partners, local businesses and wider community.
Relationships are at the heart of Sean's Place. We are incredibly fortunate to have a growing community of people and organisations who believe in our work, raise funds for us, create opportunities and help us reach more men. This role will ensure those relationships are nurtured, our supporters feel genuinely valued and new opportunities for sustainable income and partnership working continue to be developed.
This is not a traditional fundraising role and does not include responsibility for grants, trusts or commissioning. The focus is on people: building genuine relationships, supporting community fundraising, developing corporate and community partnerships, creating and supporting events, and turning one-off connections into lasting support.
The successful candidate will be a confident and authentic ambassador for Sean's Place. You will be equally comfortable welcoming a community fundraiser to the service, attending a networking event independently, speaking to a local business about our work, supporting a fundraising event or following up a new opportunity.
This is a new role within Sean's Place and provides an exciting opportunity for the right person to shape and develop our approach to supporter engagement and partnerships as the organisation continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities

- Act as a key point of contact for individuals, groups and organisations fundraising for Sean's Place.

- Maintain appropriate and regular contact with active fundraisers.
- Coordinate thank-you communications, certificates, visits and other appropriate supporter recognition.
- Develop relationships with previous fundraisers and supporters to encourage repeat engagement and long-term involvement.
- Identify opportunities for supporters to become more involved with Sean's Place through fundraising, volunteering, events, corporate introductions and other appropriate opportunities.
- Ensure every supporter receives a warm, professional and consistent experience.
- Partnerships & Relationship Development
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with local businesses, community organisations, corporate supporters and other potential partners.
- Nurture existing partnerships and maintain regular, appropriate communication.
- Identify and develop new partnership opportunities that support the sustainability and growth of Sean's Place.
- Arrange and support visits to Sean's Place for potential and existing supporters and partners.
- Work alongside the CEO on key partnership meetings and ensure agreed actions and follow-ups are completed.
- Support corporate volunteering opportunities and identify ways for businesses to engage meaningfully with Sean's Place.
- Develop a strong understanding of our partners, their priorities and how relationships can create mutual value.
- Maintain a pipeline of potential relationships and opportunities and proactively follow these through.

- Support the planning, organisation and delivery of Sean's Place fundraising events and community engagement activities.
- Develop ideas for new fundraising and supporter engagement opportunities.
- Attend fundraising events, networking opportunities, community activities and social events on behalf of Sean's Place.
- Confidently attend events independently when required and represent Sean's Place to the highest professional standard.
- Build relationships naturally with a wide range of people from different professional, social and community backgrounds.
- Follow up contacts and opportunities created through events and networking activity.
- Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of fundraising and community engagement opportunities.
Communications & Social Media
- Speak confidently, authentically and sensitively about Sean's Place, our mission and the impact of our work.
- Support appropriate social media content relating to fundraising, partnerships, events and community engagement.
- Celebrate and recognise supporters appropriately through agreed communication channels.
- Use social media professionally to strengthen relationships, promote opportunities and engage with our wider community.
- Work within Sean's Place communication, media and branding guidelines.
- Ensure information shared about Sean's Place is accurate and reflects our values.
- Protect and positively promote the reputation of Sean's Place at all times.
Administration, Records & Supporter Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of community fundraisers, supporters, corporate partners and partnership contacts.
- Ensure contact details, communication history, fundraising activity and agreed follow-up actions are recorded accurately and consistently.

- Track community fundraising activity and income generated through fundraising events, corporate support and partnership activity.
- Maintain accurate records of supporter consent and communication preferences in line with data protection requirements.
- Ensure agreed actions and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner.
- Produce regular updates for the CEO on supporter engagement, partnership activity, income generated and future opportunities.
- Manage a varied workload independently, balancing meetings, events, relationship development, follow-up activity and administration.
- Maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism.
General Responsibilities
- Act as a positive ambassador for Sean's Place at all times.
- Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, students, members and Board members.
- Contribute positively to the culture and values of Sean's Place.
- Attend team meetings, training, development opportunities and supervision.
