Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and take orders accurately
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
- Assist with food preparation tasks in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the café, including tables, counters, and kitchen areas
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout the day
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure excellent customer experience
- Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Barista experience is a plus but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
