We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in their own home. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each individuals needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, ensuring a respectful and caring environment
- Monitor and report on clients' health status, noting any changes or concerns
- Assist with medication as per training and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring compliance with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to deliver seamless care
- Support clients with home care tasks, including light housekeeping and meal preparation where appropriate
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transportation when required
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and using relevant software systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in caring for others and improving their quality of life
