Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Class 1 drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months experience , particularly with Class 1 vehicles and no more than 6 points .If you would like to work for our prestigious utilities client on the ongoing fresh water contract . This company keep's the tap's flowing and the toilets flushing for 7 million homes and 200.000 buisnesses across the North West .
You will do shifts in depot from 22.00am - 08.00am if you are booked on standby you might be called out at any point between these times,and we may need a bit of flexibility on these occasion. The role is basically driving a class 1 articulated tanker filled with water from A to B with no loading/unloading involved ,be prepared for 10hr shifts no break deducted .
If you are planned for a standby ,you will recieve a standby retainer £97.68 per day. If you are called out you will keep the retainer payment and also receive an enhanced payment for hours worked .

Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transportation.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining delivery logs and documentation.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
