Calder Construction & Shop Fitting Ltd is an established construction and maintenance company specialising in retail shop‑fitting, repairs, and new build works for a major national retailer. Due to continued growth and a strong forward workload, we are looking to recruit an experienced Shop Fitter and/or Joiner to join our team.
This is a full‑time, permanent role offering stable work, paid working‑away opportunities, and performance‑related bonuses for high standards and hitting programme dates.
The Role
You will be working as part of an experienced team delivering high‑quality shop‑fitting works in a predominantly retail environment.
Work locations are mainly along the M62 corridor, with additional projects across North Wales and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.
This role includes working away from home (UK‑based), night shifts, and weekend work when required. All working away is paid, with overnight allowances and bonuses available.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner and/or Shop Fitter
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and stay away
- Positive and flexible approach to work
Applicants must live within a 10‑mile radius of HX2 6HU.

- Willingness to travel to sites across the M62 corridor and North Wales (in Company vehicles - occasional stop-over)
- CSCS Card (desirable)
- Full, clean driving licence preferred
Much of the work is along the M62 corridor but there will be times when staying away or working nights is required and this could be anywhere in the UK. Overnight allowances will be payable and working away bonuses will be provided when timescales are hit and standards of work are high.
We are based near Halifax and therefore we are looking for people who live no more than a 10 miles radius away from there.

Pay: £14.50-£18.50 per hour
