We are looking for an experienced Export Operative to join our team at our busy Preston site.
This is a practical, hands-on role involving the safe removal, identification and storage of reusable parts from cars and motorcycles. You will also support the depollution of End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) and help ensure work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
The role is primarily based outdoors and involves manual work and heavy lifting. Training will be provided on our processes and procedures.
- Safely removing, identifying and storing parts from cars and motorcycles
- Removing tyres and batteries
- Supporting the depollution of End-of-Life Vehicles
- Handling vehicle parts carefully to prevent damage
- Completing all required paperwork accurately
- Operating plant, equipment and forklift trucks where appropriately qualified
- Inspecting and maintaining plant and equipment
- Reporting faults, damage or defects immediately
- Working closely and communicating effectively with other teams
- Following instructions and established site procedures
- Complying with all environmental and health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
- Supporting with other duties as required
You will:

Have previous experience in vehicle mechanics, dismantling or a similar practical role
- Be confident working with a wide variety of vehicle makes and models
- Have a good understanding of vehicle parts and components
- Be comfortable working outdoors in a busy environment
- Be physically able to undertake manual work involving heavy lifting
- Be reliable and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Work accurately with excellent attention to detail
- Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
