Position: Sports Coach
Location: Beaumont Leys Area - LE4 POSTCODE
Times: 12:00pm - 4:15pm Monday - Friday (3pm finish on Friday)
Contract: Full Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Role Overview:
As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and fun sports programs to children aged 4-11. You will work in collaboration with teachers to promote physical activity, teamwork, and a love for sports, while also ensuring that each child has the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate sports lessons to primary school students.
- Plan and organize a variety of sports and physical activities that support the development of key motor skills and teamwork.
- Inspire and motivate children to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
- Provide support during school sports events, festivals, and extracurricular activities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and fun environment where children feel encouraged to participate and enjoy sports.
- Work closely with school staff to ensure a coordinated approach to physical education.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children (ideally within a school or sports coaching environment).
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of sports (e.g. football, basketball, athletics, tennis, etc.).
- Ability to create and deliver engaging, fun, and educational sessions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and encouraging attitude.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Sports Coaching, PE Teaching qualification, or equivalent)
- DBS check required (we will support you through the process).
