In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining stunning water features that transform outdoor spaces into tranquil retreats. Formally known as JD Landscapes we have rebranded to Davis Pondscapes to keep our Ethos of been a pond and water feature construction company and family run business.
Our passion is creating exceptional ponds, water features and natural ecosystems, alongside high-quality landscaping projects when required
We are a Master Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) and are proud to be part of the worldwide Aquascape network. This gives our team access to specialist knowledge, training and opportunities within one of the world’s leading pond and water feature communities.
We also run a retail store The AquaHUB and from time to time you may be asked to man the HUB, when holidays occur.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our construction and maintenance team.
The Role
This is a practical, hands-on position working outdoors on a wide variety of exciting projects.
No two projects are the same. You could be helping to create a stunning ecosystem pond one week, constructing a pondless waterfall the next and working within the maintenance department after that, so comes with much variation
Working alongside our experienced team, you will be involved in the construction, installation and maintenance of ponds and water features
Previous experience in landscaping, construction, horticulture, groundworks or a similar practical trade would be advantageous but we are happy to consider someone who is new to the industry if they have the right attitude, work ethic and enthusiasm to learn.
Full training will be provided to the right person through the Aquascape Training portal
Key Responsibilities
● Assisting with the construction of bespoke ponds and water gardens
● Installing pondless waterfalls and decorative water features
● Constructing ecosystem, wildlife and recreational ponds
● Installing and maintaining pond filtration systems
● Landscaping and garden construction when requested
● Digging, excavation and ground preparation
● Moving and positioning rocks, stone, gravel and other landscaping materials
● Pond cleaning, maintenance and troubleshooting
● Operating tools and machinery where appropriately trained
● Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
● Working respectfully at customers’ homes and properties
● Taking pride in the quality and finish of every project
● Working effectively as part of a small team
● Using initiative and working independently when required
● Following health and safety procedures at all times

Please note: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, giving you your evenings, bank holidays and weekends to enjoy. *sometimes we do work away from home on larger projects which will require overtime.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
