Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting patients throughout their treatment journey, maintaining a sterile environment, and managing administrative tasks. You will be enrolled in a training course that leads to a nationally recognised qualification at the end.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent patient care by reassuring and educating patients about their treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the practice.
Skills
- Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background in nursing or relevant healthcare experience is highly desirable.
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling software.
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
