Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal components.
- Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding and other welding techniques to join metals with precision and consistency.
- Operate fabrication machinery and hand tools safely while maintaining quality standards.
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fit and alignment during assembly.
- Conduct inspections of finished products for defects or inconsistencies, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols throughout the fabrication process.
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding and welding techniques.
- Experience working with sheet metal, mechanical assembly, and fabrication processes.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment operation.
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Good physical dexterity and attention to detail to produce high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to metal fabrication and welding.
