Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Support the kitchen team in food production, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Supervise junior team members when needed, providing guidance on food prep and kitchen procedures
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and cooking techniques accurately to ensure consistency across all dishes
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with chefs, servers, and other staff
- Help monitor stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Demonstrated supervising experience or team management capabilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail and presentation
