Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring students of all ages. As a Dance teacher you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for dance while developing students' skills and confidence in a supportive environment. We are an IDTA school so experience with this syllabus is preferred but not essential!
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to the skill levels of students.
- Teach various dance styles, including Jazz and Tap.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to enhance their performance.
- Organise and prepare students for exams, competitions, and showcases.
- Maintain a positive and safe learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to develop curriculum and share best practices.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continually improve teaching methods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dance Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in one or more dance styles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching dance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in dance instruction are an advantage but not mandatory.
- A passion for fostering a love of dance among students of all ages.
