Role: Emergency Care Assistant (ECA)

Nexgen Locum is currently recruiting experienced Emergency Care Assistants (ECAs) for exciting opportunities across Essex. You will work alongside ambulance clinicians, supporting patients and providing high-quality care across a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting qualified ambulance clinicians with patient care.
- Assisting with the safe movement, lifting and handling of patients.
- Providing compassionate care and reassurance to patients throughout their journey.
- Assisting with clinical and non-clinical duties as required.
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
- Working effectively as part of an ambulance crew.
Essential Requirements:
- FREC 3 qualification – essential.
- FREC 4 qualification – essential.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or registered on the DBS Update Service.
- Completed Care Certificate.
- Previous healthcare or care experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, professional and reliable approach.
