Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Operations / Customs Operative to join our logistics team. This role involves managing customs procedures, coordinating transportation activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The successful candidate will play a vital part in streamlining supply chain processes, maintaining accurate data entry, and supporting sales and logistics operations through effective utilisation of various software systems. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage customs clearance procedures in accordance with national and international regulations.
- Coordinate transportation schedules using transportation management systems to optimise delivery efficiency.
- Utilise CRM software to maintain accurate client records, track lead generation activities, and support sales management efforts.
- Manage logistics operations including liaising with third-party logistics providers to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Handle data entry tasks related to shipments, inventory updates, and compliance documentation with precision.
- Negotiate with carriers, customs officials, and suppliers to secure favourable terms and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations during import/export processes and maintain proper documentation for audits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management or customs operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to import/export processes is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail for accurate data entry and documentation.
- Excellent negotiation skills to build effective relationships with carriers, customs officials, and suppliers.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Good understanding of B2B sales processes and lead generation strategies is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently under tight deadlines.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
