Sussex Caravan Centre is a family run, multi-award-winning caravan and motorhome dealership trading for over 35 years, based in Ashington, West Sussex. The company is an NCC and AWS approved dealership and workshop selling new and used caravans, campervans and motorhomes.
As a result of our success and continued growth we are looking to further strengthen our workshop team and currently seek a service advisor to assist in our busy workshop and preparation team to help meet the rising demand of our large customer database. The service advisor will handle various duties and responsibilities for the dealership and its customers. Their main role is in a customer service capacity, ensuring that the dealership’s customers are satisfied with the service they receive.
Service advisor responsibilities include:
· Welcoming customers and explaining the services that the dealership offers them
· Assist with managing telephone, email and walk-in enquiries or queries promptly and efficiently
· Qualify work, identify the customer’s needs and accurately pass that information to the technicians
· Consult with the technicians and manage jobs throughout their time on site
· Liaise with customers regarding service appointments and the collection of their vehicle once work is completed
· Assist with general administrative tasks, including invoicing jobs
· Advise customers regarding warranty, gather any required evidence and submit claims to manufacturers for their approval
· Estimate repair costs to a high standard
· Help to resolve any possible complaints that may arise
The successful candidate would ideally have:
Previous experience in a service advisor role; however, this is not necessarily essential. Also, previous management experience would be ideal, as there is possible scope for this role to develop into a management position.
Successful candidates must have superb attention to detail, will have a tidy, organised mentality and will be physically fit, reliable, hardworking, have a positive attitude, able to work as part of our friendly team and can use their own initiative. Also they should possess engineering knowledge to enable them to understand vehicle problems, when customers and technicians explain them.
Further information about the position:
This is a full time, permanent position with an immediate start date available. The position is for a 5-day week, working Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00 winter hours and 08:00 – 17:30 summer hours with an occasional Saturday on rolling rota, however you will receive an additional day off in lieu.
We will offer an extremely competitive salary for the right candidate, including a rewarding bonus scheme. Starting basic can be discussed depending on each candidate’s previous experience, but we would expect a minimum annual OTE of over £30,000.
