Mechanical Mate / Pipefitter's Mate – Slough – £17.50ph + Overtime
We are currently looking for 2 experienced Mechanical Mates / Pipefitter's Mates to work on a large project in Slough.
The role will involve working alongside and assisting pipefitters and welders, primarily with large prefabricated pipework.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, with a minimum of 3 months' work available and a high number of weekly hours.
Hours
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 7:00pm
- Saturday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
- Approximately 67 hours per week
- 6 days per week
Pay Rates
- First 37.5 hours: £17.50 per hour
- Next 15.5 hours: £22.75 per hour (1.3x)
- Hours above 53 per week: £26.25 per hour (1.5x)
Based on 67 paid hours, weekly earnings are approximately £1,376 gross, equivalent to approximately £1,100 after the standard 20% CIS deduction.
Weekly pay through CIS.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Hold a relevant CSCS card
- Have a valid CIS/UTR number
- Have previous mechanical or construction site experience
- Be comfortable assisting pipefitters and welders
- Be able to provide work references
- Be reliable and available to work the required hours
