Security Guard
Location: Watford, WD25 8FA
Salary: Negotiable
Hours: 6:00am to 17:15pm Monday– Friday, Alternate Saturdays 7:00am to 16:15pm
About The Role:
As the Security Guard you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, customers, and staff. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle a variety of situations calmly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the store manager on any aspect of theft or security.
- Check for customers who behave suspiciously, and carry out search of suspects.
- Check and collect customer receipts.
- Patrol all areas of the shop, including blind spots not just exits and counter.
- Patrol back yard and alleyway.
- Check showroom, basement, and storeroom.
- Log all incidents to discuss with the store manager on a weekly basis.
- Carry out random spot checks
- Check premises at close of day and leave with the last member of staff.
- Monitor traffic wardens outside the store and notify any customers who have vehicles parked outside.
- Check delivery tickets on company vehicles.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- SIA Licence
- Honesty and integrity
- Good observational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to handle sensitive situations and to use initiative to make quick decisions.
