We are looking for an Examninations Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join Wallington County Grammar school and become an integral member of the Support team.

Ensuring high standards in Teaching, Learning and Assessment

To be responsible for managing the effective and efficient administration of external examinations and assessments in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications regulations and/or awarding body rules for exams administration in a consistent and secure fashion, thereby helping to maintain the integrity of the assessment process
- To be responsible for managing the effective and efficient administration of internal examinations
- To closely liaise with key stakeholders (both external and internal) to ensure the smooth running of all school examinations and assessments
- Support Admissions with the planning and running of Entrance Examinations
- Undertake training, update or review sessions as required
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the role as may be required by the head of centre/SLT responsible for examinations, for example:
- the preparation for and conduct of internal examinations under external examination conditions
- other exams-related administrative tasks
You will need:
-
Qualifications demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly with all stakeholders, and to be able to effectively organise large scale examination seasons
- English, Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above
- Experience of using an MIS system
- Be familiar with Office applications and be confident in their use. Be willing to learn new computer systems
- Excellent administration skills
- Show an understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and the need to work within the School’s Child Protection Policy
- Ability to handle sensitive issues relating to students, maintaining confidentiality as required
- Good organisational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and problem solve
- Previous experience of working in education, ideally in a role linked to examinations
