Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cover Cleaner to join our professional cleaning team. This role involves providing cleaning services across various commercial premises, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning environments and a strong work ethic. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-established organisation committed to maintaining clean and safe spaces for clients.
This position we will guarantee 10 hours per week but some weeks/days will vary, could be more depending on which site needs the cover.
Working Hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 11.30-20.30 depending on which site needs covering, This position is to help out with holidays and sickness on a permanent contract and will be given work daily.
Must have a clean criminal record as an Enhanced DBS is required, which we can help obtain
Must be Honest, reliable, speak good English and able to prove the right to work in the UK with up to date documents and share code
Rate of pay is £14 per hour with an additional contribution towards travel
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and other business premises.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and products to ensure surfaces, floors, and fixtures are hygienic and presentable.
- Follow designated cleaning schedules and procedures to meet client expectations.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet roll as needed.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all areas are cleaned to a professional standard.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards identified during cleaning activities.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines at all times during duties.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Good communication skills for reporting issues or completing documentation as required.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform cleaning tasks effectively throughout shifts.
