Overview
We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual to join our team as a site carpenter. This role involves working on various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Utilise a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete construction and maintenance tasks
- Carry out carpentry and roofing duties, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing materials
- Conduct heavy lifting operations safely to move materials or equipment as required on-site
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or personnel when necessary
- Assist in the installation, repair, and upkeep of structures, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for construction tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Good understanding of safety procedures relevant to construction sites
- Physical fitness and stamina suitable for demanding manual labour tasks
