Head Chef – Italian Restaurant | Glasgow | Immediate Start
Salary: From £19 per hour
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Italian restaurant in Glasgow for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen and drive consistently exceptional food standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident kitchen leader with a genuine background in authentic Italian cuisine. We're looking for someone who can step into the role immediately, command the kitchen from day one, and lead a team through busy services while maintaining quality and consistency.
The Role
- Lead all day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Deliver authentic Italian dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Develop and refine menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Manage food preparation, stock control and ordering.
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Work closely with front-of-house to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Control kitchen costs, wastage and GP performance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy Italian restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of authentic Italian cooking techniques and traditional dishes.
- Confident leader who can take full control of a kitchen from day one.
- Experience managing rotas, stock, ordering and kitchen operations.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Food safety knowledge and high operational standards.
- Available for an immediate start.
