Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Trainee or Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will assist orthodontist and orthodontic therapist during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the surgery.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring clear communication
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and manage appointment schedules effectively
- Support with administrative duties such as stock management and ordering supplies
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and health & safety within the practice
- Offer compassionate care to patients, addressing their concerns and answering questions
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care or nursing is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for Trainee candidates
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling appointments
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in developing a career within dental nursing and providing exceptional patient care
Pay: £10.00-£13.50 per hour
