Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Team Members to join Creams Cafe. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of delicious treats. Responsibilities
- Prepare a range of food items, including desserts, beverages, and snacks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and providing recommendations where appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system with confidence
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Assist in stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or café environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Upselling skills to promote additional menu items effectively
- Good time management to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
