What are we looking for?
Techex is seeking a commercially focused and technically knowledgeable Account and Partner Manager to support the continued growth of our customer and technology partner ecosystem and support in the establishment of channel partners. They should be dynamic and passionate about the broadcast technology sector and someone who can create long term, deep relationships with clients and partners and support the growth of the business.
The Techex commercial team is instrumental in creating strong client partnerships that lead to long term growth and shared success. As a Techex Account and Partner Manager, you will work closely with our sales leadership and technical teams to increase high value delivery of Techex software and third-party technology solutions.
The role is ideally suited to someone with experience in broadcast technology who understands current live media workflows and can confidently translate customer requirements into practical technical and commercial solutions.
The candidate will have a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset and use that to identify and deliver the growth activities required in the UK and internationally, to deliver Techex's business plan.
The role will be based contractually from Bracknell with a hybrid mix of time in the office, from home and with customers and partners.
The Role:
Commercial Accounts and Solution Development

Manage frequent, lower-value commercial opportunities for smaller and developing customers, including the creation of accurate Bill of Materials (BoMs) and commercial proposals.

Work with customers to understand their technical and operational requirements and identify appropriate Techex software and partner technology solutions.

Provide solution design and BoM assistance for larger and strategic customer opportunities when required.

Support the development of commercially viable solutions that combine Techex software with relevant third-party technologies.

Maintain momentum across commercial opportunities, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate and appropriate responses.

Produce and circulate regular business reporting to sales leadership on transactional deal volume, order value and channel and partner performance.
Customer and Technology Partner Relationships

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective Techex customers.

Develop effective working relationships with Techex's technology partners and their commercial and technical teams. Assist in the management and development of key technology partnerships, including organisations such as TAG Video Systems, Sony Nevion and Bridge Technologies.

Identify opportunities for joint customer engagement, solution development and go-to-market activity with technology partners.

Act as a knowledgeable commercial point of contact, helping customers and partners understand how Techex solutions fit within wider broadcast and media technology workflows.

Assist with and support the recruitment, onboarding and management of channel and reseller partners, including the coordinating the delivery of training and enablement to sell Techex solutions effectively.
Commercial and CRM Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity information (customer and partners) within Techex's CRM platform.

Ensure pipeline data, opportunity stages, expected close dates and commercial values are accurate and regularly reviewed.

Support sales forecasting and commercial reporting by providing clear and reliable pipeline information.

Work with the wider Sales team to identify opportunity risks, actions, and areas of potential growth.

Promote strong CRM and commercial management disciplines across assigned accounts and opportunities.
Sales Solutions and Marketing Campaigns

Work closely with the Marketing team to help develop targeted Sales Solutions campaigns designed to generate customer demand

Help identify specific market requirements, technology trends and customer challenges that can be addressed through focused Techex solutions.

Contribute technical and commercial knowledge to campaign messaging, solution positioning and customer propositions.

Support partner-led and joint marketing initiatives where appropriate.

Assist Sales and Marketing teams in converting campaign engagement into qualified commercial opportunities.
Channel Partner Development and Enablement

Assist in the management and development of Techex's regional channel partner and reseller network.

Support the onboarding of new channel partners and help establish effective commercial and operational working relationships.

Help train partner sales and technical teams in the use, features, functionality, and positioning of Techex software solutions.

Develop partner understanding of Techex products, including tx darwin, tx edge and Techex's IPTV solution.

Provide guidance to channel partners on appropriate commercial models, solution positioning and customer engagement.

Support partners in identifying and developing opportunities within their respective regions.

Work with internal Techex teams to ensure channel partners have the knowledge and support required to represent Techex effectively.
Experience and Requirements
The successful candidate should have:

Demonstrable experience working within the live broadcast technology sector.

A good working knowledge of end-to-end live broadcast workflows.
-
An understanding of live workflows encompassing production, contribution, processing, transformation, playout, and distribution.

Experience or knowledge of broadcast infrastructure deployed across both fixed/on-premises and cloud-based environments.

The ability to understand customer requirements and assist in developing appropriate solution designs and BoMs.

Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of sales pipeline and CRM management.

Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, technology suppliers, and channel partners.

The ability to explain technical products and solutions clearly to both commercial and technical audiences.

A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple opportunities, customers, and partner activities.
Technology and Market Knowledge
Candidates should have a good knowledge and understanding of the wider broadcast and media technology ecosystem and Techex's technology partnerships.

The successful candidate should understand where these technologies fit within modern broadcast architectures and, ideally, how they can complement Techex's own software products.
An understanding of IP-based media workflows, cloud technology, and the transition from traditional broadcast infrastructure to software-defined and hybrid architectures would be highly beneficial.
