About the role
The Department of Economics is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant.
In this role you will:
-
assist within a teaching team and work within an established teaching programme under general supervision within the Department of Economics
-
manage and deliver teaching activities and prioritise your own workload within agreed objectives to ensure that all activities are completed to set deadlines
-
assess student progress and provide feedback to students, setting and marking assignments with appropriate supervision
-
build on previous experience and use critical evaluation of professional practice to develop skills and knowledge
-
communicate effectively with the teaching & learning team and show good team working.
About the Department
The Department of Economics at the University of Bath promotes a vibrant research environment through our dynamic research groups. Following a recent restructuring exercise, research is organised through five main groups: (I) Macro, Money, and Finance (II) Microeconomic Theory, (III) Applied Economics: Labour, Education and Health (IV) Public and Political Economy and (V) Sustainable Development. Additionally, there are research clusters in three areas: Banking and Finance; Economics of Digitalisation and Innovation; Experimental Economics.
